SIR HANDEL AND THE MINE MACHINE

The Narrow Gauge Engines of Sodor work high in the mountains at the Quarry and the mine. Sir Handel is one of these engines. But both he and his best friend Duncan, unlike the others, hate work. One day, they were working at the quarry with Rheneas when James bustled in. “Oh no!” screamed Duncan. “Oh no!” screamed Sir Handel. “Not HIM!” sobbed Rheneas. On James’s flatbed was… Thumper.
Thumper had caused havoc at the quarry many years ago, when his drilling arms had caused a boulder to slip from it’s mountain top perch and chase Rusty, Skarloey and Rheneas before nearly murdering Percy when it crashed into a shed.
